Like all Squarespace templates, the Squarespace Native template has a range of built-in functionality that makes it great for businesses of all types. It is versatile, customizable, and has a modern feel. The Native template is especially appropriate for blogging and writing as the content is presented on a long, scrolling page.

In the Squarespace Native template, the site title, tagline, and description are shown centered at the top above the Main Navigation. The footer content is customizable as well and displays on all pages. Images can be formatted throughout the vertically scrolling page and thumbnail images are presented as circles above post excerpts on the main blog page. The Native template makes it easy to integrate social media links to your accounts by displaying social icons by default in the footer.

A Native template website offers the option to add drop-down menus to the navigation and the ability to adjust the color, size and font style of the Main Navigation. On mobile, the navigation displays below the header as a drop-down menu link. The good news is that all Squarespace templates are built with responsive design. Be aware, however, that some browsers can’t fix background images and the menu does appear differently on different devices.
